Palm Oil

Palm oil, an edible vegetable oil and a key ingredient in many foods, has been linked to major global and environmental issues. That’s why we’ve taken steps to offer healthier, sustainable and safer alternatives:

• Since 2010, we have been a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), an industry-wide initiative that promotes the growth and use of sustainable palm oil products.
• All palm oil, palm kernel oil and palm-based derivatives used in our ALDI-exclusive brand
  food come from RSPO-certified sustainable sources.

By the end of 2025, we aim to convert to RSPO-certified derivatives and fractions for all non-food products.
