Our Ingredient Standards
At ALDI, we are continuously evolving our products to meet the changing expectations of our customers. That’s why we are removing an additional 44 ingredients from our private label food and vitamin/supplement products by December 31, 2027 - including select artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, and sweeteners.
Announced in April 2026, this next phase builds on prior ALDI ingredient standards established in 2015 when we removed 13 certified synthetic colors, added MSG, and partially hydrogenated oils from all ALDI-exclusive brand food products.
Our focus remains the same: delivering foods made with ingredients you can feel good about bringing home without compromising the taste and quality you rely on. Every ALDI-exclusive product must meet rigorous sourcing and testing under these new restrictions. A total of 57 ingredients will be removed from ALDI-exclusive products by 12/31/2027.
