ALDI and Fairtrade America's Honduras Coffee Project
Coffee is the most important agricultural export in Honduras, and coffee farmers face challenges due to local governments, volatile coffee pricing and the impacts of climate change. In partnership with Fairtrade America, ALDI launched the Honduras Coffee Project in 2016, an effort to respond to the needs of local coffee producers and further develop supply chain responsibility while creating lasting impact on the ground.
ALDI US Pledges to Raise $10 Million Dollars for ALSF by 2027
We recently announced our pledge of $10 Million by 2027 to our charity partner Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. All donations will go towards research for a cure and providing financial support to families who need travel for treatment. Join us in the fight against pediatric cancer by donating directly to ALSF.

ALDI strives to make a positive impact on our customers, employees and communities by being socially and environmentally responsible, recently earning ALDI recognition as a leading grocer in sustainability by Progressive Grocer.* From rethinking our packaging and eliminating plastic bags from stores, to reducing our carbon footprint and offering products that are sourced responsibly, we are committed to making sustainability affordable and accessible to all our customers.
ALDI US to Become First Major Retailer to Eliminate Plastic Bags
We pledge to remove plastic shopping bags from all our 2,200 stores by the end of 2023. As the first major retailer to commit to this action in the United States, we will remove an estimated 4,400 tons of plastic from circulation every year.
