Feeding America

Each year, in partnership with Feeding America, we organize volunteer events for our employees to pack disaster relief boxes to support individuals and families displaced from their homes due to natural disasters. This year hundreds of employees across the country volunteered their time to pack over 5,000 boxes of shelf-stable ALDI products that were shipped to Feeding America warehouses across the country to be used in the event of an emergency or natural disaster. ALDI disaster relief boxes have been used in hurricane relief efforts in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico as well as during flooding in Michigan and Maryland.

In addition to prepositioning disaster relief boxes, we work with our network of 25 warehouses across the country and suppliers to provide Feeding America with products to support their relief efforts. Requests range from baby food and diapers to ready-to-eat items and water bottles to bleach and cleaning supplies. We work diligently to provide these to those in need.

Our commitment to supporting disaster relief efforts goes beyond product donations. We continue to provide funding to the American Red Cross to support its efforts to provide immediate shelter and comfort to those affected by disaster. This past year, our employees and customers donated more than $400,000 to Feeding America and we donated an additional $250,000.
