ALDI Community Giving

ALDI Community Giving in 2026: Continuing to Advance Meaningful Impact

At ALDI, supporting the people and communities we serve means more than providing affordable groceries – it means showing up when it matters most.

In 2026, with the help of our partners, we continued making meaningful impact – helping address urgent needs, support youth programs, and create lasting opportunities in communities across the country. From hands-on hunger relief to local organization space updates and nationwide fundraising to support those impacted by childhood cancer, we’re advancing progress on the issues that matter most to our communities, shoppers and employees across five areas: Children’s Health & Wellness, Food Insecurity, Education, Disaster Relief and Employee Programs.

Feeding America

Delivering Hunger Relief in Times of Disaster with Feeding America

As America’s fastest-growing grocer with stores across the country, we recognize the responsibility we have to help people facing hunger following a crisis or natural disaster.

This May, ALDI employees came together for our annual Disaster Relief Packing Event in partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank and Feeding America. Together, teams packed emergency food boxes that help Feeding America and its network of local food banks quickly provide support to communities affected by emergencies when they need it most.

Over the course of 2026, all 26 ALDI divisions will participate in a packing event with their local Feeding America food banks, packing 39,000 boxes (nearly 1 million products!) to go to communities across the country.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Supporting Young People Through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America

We have a long-standing partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA)—an organization dedicated to enabling young people, especially those with the greatest need, to reach their full potential through safe, supportive local club experiences with programs and activities beyond the classroom.

This summer, ALDI will work with BGCA to enhance local BGCA sites to better support young people as they prepare for the future and build healthy, meaningful lives. ALDI will directly fund all costs to add and improve:

  • Industrial refrigerators and pantry storage for fresh and shelf-stable foods: Includes industrial refrigerators for fresh foods and pantries for shelf-stable food, increasing access to nutritious foods for Club youth and families year-round. This also creates opportunities for take-home meals to support families, improves the ability to serve more youth, and acts as a retention driver for Club teens.
  • Snack stations added at one site each for:
    - Boys & Girls Clubs of Kansas City
    - Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago
    - Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee
    - Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County

  • Kitchen remodels with new appliances and equipment at four Boys & Girls Clubs Twin Cities locations. This includes new appliances, equipment, or remodels to increase the ability to provide more snacks and meals at Clubs. This is a critical resource for boosting Club engagement through cooking classes, meal preparation, and other on-site programming. These upgrades also create space for Clubs to implement culinary and nutrition programming and support career exploration.

Together, these efforts help strengthen our commitment to reduce food insecurity in the communities we serve.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Each June, we partner with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) – a nonprofit dedicated to changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families, and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer – during Lemonade Days to help raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.

Through employee volunteerism, lemon-themed ALDI Finds, fundraising and community engagement – including hosting lemonade stands and participating in ALSF’s Million Mile Challenge – ALDI customers, partners and team members help bring ALSF’s mission to life each year. With the support of our shoppers, partners, and ALDI team members, ALDI has donated over $9.5 million to ALSF since 2019 – putting us on track to surpass our goal of raising $10 million for ALSF by the end of 2027, one year early!

In 2026, ALSF aims to sell 1 million cups of lemonade and host 5,000 lemonade stands. With ongoing ALDI support, we help drive at least 10% of those stands.

Together, these efforts help fund critical research, provide vital support for families affected by childhood cancer and advance the search for a cure for childhood cancer.

Continuing to Make an Impact Together

We’re proud to support organizations creating meaningful change and are committed to helping strengthen the communities where our team members, customers and partners live and work. As ALDI continues to grow, so does our commitment to making an impact where it’s needed most. Being a good neighbor is more than a value – it’s a responsibility that continues to shape who we are and how we show up every day.
