Key Insights:

  • ALDI, America’s fastest growing grocer, is deepening its commitment to the communities it serves through a renewed investment in its longstanding partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).
  • This includes a $10 million commitment through 2032 that will bring ALDI support for ALSF to more than $20 million since 2019.
  • ALDI has already raised more than $10.2 million for ALSF, surpassing its original $10 million fundraising goal more than one year ahead of schedule.

Batavia, Ill., Sept. 24, 2026 – As ALDI expands its footprint across the country, it is building on its commitment to fighting childhood cancer with a new $10 million investment in longtime partner Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). The expanded commitment will help advance the search for a cure for childhood cancer and bring total ALDI support for ALSF to more than $20 million since the partnership began.

“As more Americans shop at ALDI than ever before, our commitment to give back continues to grow with us,” said Dave Rinaldo, Chief Operating Officer, ALDI. “Few things matter more than giving a child the chance to grow up healthy, and I’ve seen firsthand the difference ALSF makes for children and families facing childhood cancer. We’re proud to continue investing in a mission that matters to our shoppers, employees and communities.”

ALDI has partnered with ALSF since 2019 to help advance its mission to find a cure for childhood cancer. Since then, ALDI has raised more than $10.2 million, surpassing its original $10 million fundraising goal more than one year ahead of schedule. Now, ALDI is committing another $10 million by the end of 2032, bringing its total support to over $20 million.

As the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S., ALSF has raised more than $300 million to fund research and support families, including more than 1,500 childhood cancer research projects and programs that have helped more than 15,000 families. Continued investment from partners like ALDI helps ALSF build on that progress. Through 2032, more than $10 million of total ALDI support will go directly toward research aimed at developing new treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

“Research doesn’t move on a one-year timeline, which is why knowing ALDI will be with us through 2032 matters,” said Liz Scott, Alex’s mom and Co-Executive Director at Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. “Having the commitment of ALDI allows us to plan even further ahead and continue investing in promising research that can lead to better treatments, better outcomes and ultimately, a cure for childhood cancer. ALDI and its employees have been committed ALSF partners since 2019, and we’re grateful to have them with us for this next chapter.”

ALDI employees have become a driving force behind the partnership, supporting ALSF throughout the year. During Lemonade Days, teams host lemonade stands in communities across the country, while the annual Million Mile challenge brings employees together to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer. Since 2022, employees have also raised more than $2 million for ALSF family programs, including Travel for Care, which helps families access treatment when the care their child needs is far from home.

“What makes me especially proud is how personally invested our employees are in this cause,” said Rinaldo. “They’ve rallied behind ALSF year after year, raising millions to help families manage the realities that come with a childhood cancer diagnosis. Our people are what make ALDI what it is, and the way they’ve gotten behind ALSF and these families is a great example of how our teams show up for the communities we serve – and the impact a shared cause can have in bringing employees together.”
